Because you are a student at BYU-Idaho, you have already begun your involvement in Student Living. The relationships that are built and the interactions that take place within your apartment will have a profound influence upon future relationships of marriage, employment and service in the church as well as creating life-long friendships.
You can further your involvement in Student Living by striving to create a culture of Zion within your apartment. “And the Lord called his people ZION because they were of one heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness: and there was no poor among them.” Moses 7:18
- Promote unity in your apartments by regularly having apartment prayer, apartment council, meals, and planning fun activities with your roommates.
- Strive to live in righteousness by making joint decisions about the media, language, and music you allow to enter your apartment as well as keeping covenants, commitments to the Honor Code and practicing personal behaviors of righteousness.
- Look out for your roommates to ensure that there are no poor among you. Be aware of their needs and be willing to reach out as needed to those struggling in any way, temporal or spiritual.
